Project Management Doesn't Have To Be Complicated...
Project management is pivotal in the success of a project, we want to share a few basic ways we manage projects.
Hi there,
Welcome to this week’s edition of Paving Tomorrow, where we share insights from our journey as a brand studio aiming to collaborate with the world’s biggest brands.
One of the biggest lessons we've learnt as a growing brand studio is that effective project management is everything. From working with clients to coordinating internal tasks, staying on top of multiple moving parts is key to delivering high-quality work. Here’s what we’ve been doing to improve our project management, along with some tools we rely on to keep everything running smoothly.
Our Experience:
At Senso, we’ve had projects where things ran like clockwork—and others where we had to scramble at the last minute. The difference always boiled down to planning and communication. Early on, we sometimes lacked clear delegation and timelines, which led to unnecessary stress. Now, we’re committed to structured processes that allow creativity to thrive without the chaos.
One simple practice that’s worked wonders for us? Communication Schedule & Frequent check-ins—not just for updates, but to identify potential roadblocks early. Whether we’re designing a brands identity or crafting a compelling digital product, keeping all project stakeholders in the loop has saved us from countless hours of rework.
Tools we use to Manage Projects Efficiently:
Asana: Our go-to for breaking down projects into smaller tasks, assigning deadlines, and ensuring no detail slips through the net. The visual timelines make it easy to track progress at a glance.
Slack: Seamless communication is crucial when deadlines are tight. Slack helps us maintain quick, focused conversations, ensuring everyone is on the same page without the clutter of long email chains.
Trello: For projects with a lot of visual elements, Trello is a favourite. We’ve use it to organise client feedback, track revisions, and make sure everyone knows what needs attention next.
Notion: This has become our all-in-one tool for internal documentation. We use it for everything from project outlines to brainstorming sessions, helping our team stay aligned.
Managing projects effectively is about finding the right approach for your team. We’re still refining our methods, but with the right tools and a focus on transparency and communication, we’re delivering on our vision more consistently every day.
Let’s keep paving the way forward together.
